Wall Street investment banker turned Texas congressman Brandon Gill has done catastrophic damage to the nation—but more importantly, to my home congressional district of Denton County. He ran on cutting the debt and deficit. So why is it that, not a month after taking office, he voted to increase the debt, expand the deficit, and cut Medicaid?

This isn’t just about politics. It’s about betrayal of Texans, of voters, and of the values he pretends to represent. Texans who care about our great state are done pretending otherwise. So let's make it clear: Real Texans Hate Brandon Gill!

Brandon Gill’s entire backstory runs counter to what real Texans stand for. He moved here suspiciously—just one year before the election, the bare minimum required to qualify for office. Just before that, he met with the retiring congressman behind closed doors, then conveniently relocated to this safely red district. He also produced a sham documentary so dishonest that even the Christian conservative company that distributed it pulled it from release and paid out in court for the lies.

He built his entire political career on a lie—and he hasn’t done a damn thing since to prove otherwise. Gill is exactly the kind of parachute politician Texas doesn’t need: Ivy League résumé, Wall Street background, ridiculous cowboy branding. He's using Texan culture as a marketing prop.
